Cookie Time Christmas Cookies is an annual campaign that has been running since 1985.

Each year Cookie Time recruits 69 tertiary students from throughout the country to be Cookie Time ambassadors who run their own business selling and delivering buckets of Christmas Cookies directly to the public.

Being a Christmas Cookies seller is an unique experience that is challenging and rewarding. Past sellers say that this is a 'once in a lifetime experience' where you learn a lot about yourself and running a business. This year we will be selecting 69 fantastic sellers to represent Cookie Time during the Christmas Cookies promotion. The promotion, which runs in the six weeks preceding Christmas, is a great lead in to the festive season!

As a Christmas Cookies seller you are an independent seller - which means you are essentially running your own business! You make a margin on all the Christmas Cookies buckets you sell. If you reach the sales target set for your selling territory your margin increases - the more Christmas Cookies you sell, the more you earn, so you are rewarded for your effort. The average seller earnings in 2007 was $6000 before tax and the top seller earned $11,000 before tax - not bad for six weeks work!

As a Christmas Cookies seller running your own business, you will gain valuable skills and knowledge through:
• Promoting cookies and taking customer orders
• Ordering stock from Cookie Time
• Storing cookies until delivery
• Delivering cookies to customers and collecting payment
• Banking money that you have collected from your customers
• Completing necessary daily paperwork and paying your own tax to
   the IRD

There is a lot of organisation involved in being a successful Christmas Cookies seller and you will definitely sharpen your administration and business skills.

Selling Christmas Cookies is an amazing experience for students who love a challenge, work hard and want to make the most of this fantastic summer job opportunity.

Before you start selling you will attend the three day Christmas Cookies training conference, 2nd - 4th November. Here you will learn everything you need to know about Christmas Cookies and being a great Christmas Cookies seller. By the end of the training you will be amped up and empowered to sell.
